Two officers appointed

IMPHAL, Oct 15: Concerned with the surge in the number of positive cases daily, the Government has appointed two senior IAS officers to look into the COVID-19 situation in the State.
The two senior officers, Commissioner Nidhi Kesarwani and Commissioner T Ranjit were appointed following the advice of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
In addition, to effectively treat COVID-19 patients, the Health Department has instructed doctors to routinely monitor and assess the condition of the patients in hospitals.
Meanwhile, the 52 cases from Imphal West late in the evening today include 20 from Monsangei, said sources.
