Dr Ranjan calls on Tripura CM

IMPHAL, Jan 4: Lok Sabha MP Dr Ranjan called on Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and discussed several issues including the proposal for construction of a State guest house in Tripura today.
Dr Ranjan met the CM at the latter's home in morning and they discussed the proposal for construction of the guest house at Tripura's Aboypur. Biplab Kumar Deb agreed to the MP's proposal and assured all possible assistance.
During the meeting, Dr Ranjan also highlighted the importance of promoting Manipuri language among the Manipuri Tripuris and proposed introduction of Manipuri language as an optional subject from lower classes upto XII standard. The CM acknowledged and assured to look into the proposal.
They also discussed history and present situations of the two States and they agreed to strengthen the inter-State relationship.
