Teacher's Day greetings
IMPHAL, Sep 4 : Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has extended her heartiest greetings and best wishes to the teaching community on the occasion of Teacher’s Day 2019.
In her message, the Governor said that Teacher’s Day is celebrated all over the country on September 5, the birthday of Dr S Radhakrishnan, to honour the teachers for their precious contribution towards the society and the country as a whole.
Stating that a strong education system is the foundation of a progressive society and Manipur has lot of expectations from its teaching community, Dr Najma exuded confidence that the teachers will continue to provide their selfless services with vigour and dedication.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh too greeted all the teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
Conveying that the future of a Nation lies in the hands of teachers , the CM appealed all in the teaching community to draw inspiration from Dr S Radhakrishnan, a philosopher and a teacher who is the first Vice President and second President of India, and discharge their duties with a renewed sense of dedication and commitment.
Works Minister Th Biswajit too conveyed his greetings to all the teachers across the State on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. “Teacher’s day is an occasion where we recognise the dedicated services of the teachers, who are engaged in building and strengthening the intellectual and ethical foundation of our children”, the Minister said.
Th Biswajit then urged all to show their gratitude and respect to their teachers for making them what they are today.
While greeting the teachers community on the occasion of Teacher’s Day 2019, Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam also expressed gratitude to the teachers of the State for their committed efforts, contribution and dedication for the betterment of the students.
