PLA celebrates

IMPHAL, Sep 25 : The 41st foundation day of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) was celebrated today at its general headquarters, tactical command, 252 mobile battalion, other army units, departments, stations, its central bureau, SR-1, SR-2, SR-3, SR-4. The flag of the outfit was hoisted at different places and salutes were given to those who have laid down their lives in the course of the struggle and the party's flag.
The day was also observed at different places under the central bureau and at Division 2,4,6,8,10 of the outfit, said a statement.  Festoons of the outfit embossed with a star were also put up at different places to celebrate the day.
In connection with the day, president of RPF Irengbam Chaoren also greeted the people, said the statement and added that the armed movement is the only means to win back the lost sovereignty of the land. The policy of India to keep the people subjugated testifies this, said Chaoren and added that this tactic will however not deter the armed movement.
The militarisation of the place will only lead to a direct conflict between India and the people of Manipur, said Chaoren and added the time has come for all to unify and put up a united fight against the oppressor.
