47th foundation day held

Bishnupur, Sep 1: The 47th foundation day of Kanglei Enat Yokkhatpa Lup (KEYL) Nambol, which was established to preserve and promote rich culture, tradition and religious beliefs of Manipur, was observed at Community Hall, Nambol market today.
The observance function was attended by President Governing Body SK Women College, Nambol, Ningthoujam Ibomcha Singh; President Kanglei Enat Yokkhatpa Lup Nambol, Nongthombam Govardhan Mangang; Retired IPS Ningthoujam Manimohon Singh and Branch Manager SBI Nambol Branch, Soibam Romesh Singh as presidium members.
The observance function began with paying floral tributes to the photos of late former executive members and late members of the organization by the presidium members and the public.
As part of the function, reporters from Bishnupur district working in different media houses were also honoured with modest gifts while 35 senior citizens from five ACs viz Nambol, Wangoi, Oinam, Naoria Pakhanglakpa and Konthoujam were also given Old Age Pension Scheme 2019 from the side of the organization.
The Lup also honoured the donors of the said pension scheme with simple gifts.
Speaking at the occasion, Vice-President KEYL, L Tomba Khuman while delivering the keynote speech said that the Lup was instituted to preserve and promote the rich culture, tradition and religious beliefs of different communities of Manipur and appealed all to know their roots and origin.
