MSSA calls off stir

IMPHAL, Aug 7 : Manipur Secretariat Service Association (MSSA) has called off its strike after signing several agreements with the State Government, today.
As part of the agreement, the Government has agreed to grant a uniform grade pay of Rs 1,650 to all group 'D' employees irrespective of their educational qualifications and change the nomenclature of Office Assistant to Secretariat Assistant and Senior Office Assistant to Secretariat Senior Assistant.
As per the agreement, the association's demands for payment of DA, with effective date of implementation on April 1, 2019,  will also be considered by the Finance Department after financial condition of the State improves and existing service rules will be reviewed wherever required.
Apart from agreeing to upgrade 2 posts of Driver to Assistant Supervisor, the State Government also agreed to consider grant of Secretariat Duty Allowances at the time of revision of allowances.
