BISHNUPUR, Aug 6: S Kula Women's College Nambol's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research Committee hosted a one day National workshop on 'Research Schemes and Avenues : UGC STRIDE (Scheme for Trans-disciplinary Research for India's Developing Econmy) at the college's A Block conference hall Tuesday.
S Kula Women's College Governing Body president N Ibomcha Singh, former coordinator IQAC SKWC and HoD Physics Dr A Joy Singh, coordinator IQAC and Research Committee Dr L Muhindro, Nodal Officer AISHE, MHRD SKWC Dr S Bhogendra Singh, Nodal Officer RUSA and coordinator Biotech-Hub Dr W Robindro Singh and Principal S Kula Women's College Dr N Joykumar Singh attended the event as presidium members.
Around 150 delegates from Manipur and North East States - Nagaland, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh attended the workshop.
Dr L Muhindro spoke about 'Introduction to STRIDE : Basic Information', Dr A Joy talked on 'Needs for Interdisciplinary Research.'
Dr S Bhogendra spoke on 'STRIDE : An agenda for Developing a Research Culture' while Dr W Robindro spoke on 'Schemes for Faculty Members'.
Coordinator IQAC Dr L Muhindro said that the workshop was held to give awareness and information to college teachers about the UGC's STRIDE (Scheme for Trans-disciplinary Research for India's Developing Econmy).
