IMPHAL, Aug 3 All Manipur Football Association has refuted the post uploaded by one Bikram Singh Thokchom on Facebook. The post reading "8 girls from Manipur from very poor conditions are forced to buy their own costly air ticket to attend the camp in Goa. It seems the budget allocated by SAI was used by AIFF to pay off expenses as salaries etc. Shame. Why host a world cup when you have no money to look after your citizens, players to represent India" is false baseless and may tarnish the image of AIFF and AMFA, alleged a statement of AMFA. It also said that AIFF reimburses the fares of all its players attending any coaching camp on submission of actual tickets/boarding passes latter on. AMFA will investigate the incident and take appropriate disciplinary action against Bikram Singh Thokchom, who claims to be the chairman of Soccer Foundation India and president of AMMA Football Club, Andro, it said and appealed all concerned to refrain from posting such defamatory comment in future.
