Zero Hour
IMPHAL, Aug 27: MLA P Brojen sought the attention of the House urging the State Government to ensure plantation of good quality wheat and corn in the State during Zero Hour of the Assembly today.
Taking opportunity of the Zero Hour, MLA K Govindas sought the attention of the Chief Minister and the PHE Minister to the water supply scheme at Kwasiphai (Bishnupur) which has been lying defunct for around 2 years. The Chief Engineer concerned has not taken up any positive action in this regard, charged the MLA.
He also alleged that nothing has been done to avail water from underground and Prime Minister Jal Shakti has been compromised for the region.
MLA K Meghachandra also took advantage of the Zero Hour and spoke against the threat on development projects in the State by the Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee Manipur.
He also appealed the Government, especially the Chief Minister, to do the needful regarding the demands of STDCM.
On the other hand, MLA Yamthong Haokip said that despite assurance given in the past, five bridges at Saikul Kendra are yet to be constructed and questioned whether the bridges will be constructed or not.
MLA K Leishiyo sought the attention of the Chief Minister regarding forest management by urging all to adhere to rules under the Assembly Rules of Procedure Conduct of Business and explaining that no Member can violate the rules.
