IMPHAL, Jul 31: Brigadier, Sushil Kumar Sharma, retired from the CRPF on attaining the age of superannuation today. This was his third tenure in Manipur (two tenures with the Indian Army as Colonel and Brigadier and one with CRPF as DIGP Range Imphal) and is one of the very few officers of the Indian Army who also has the experience of serving with CRPF. Brig Sushil was commissioned on June 1985. An alumnus of the Army Cadet College Wing and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, he graduated from the Defence Service Staff College, Wellington and attended the Higher Defence Management Course at Secunderabad . The Brig also served in two UN Mission assignments at Cambodia and Lebanon and attended two security related courses in USA and Russia. He has also penned a book titled "The Complexity Called Manipur: Roots Perception and Reality".
