IMPHAL, Jul 24 : Denouncing the alleged arrogant attitude shown by the Principal of Eureka Academy in Kakching District towards the volunteers of Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) for requesting to cancel the expulsion order of one class VIII student for sending a love letter, the student body has urged the Principal to clarify regarding the matter at the earliest. Even though there is an Act that prohibits expulsion of students from the school he/she studies, Principal of Eureka Academy expelled a student by disregarding the law of the land, said a statement of DESAM. It then added that a complaint will be lodged at Child Right Commission under Right to Education Act and appealed the Education Department to look into the matter at the earliest. DESAM also appealed the authority concerned to scrap the affiliation of the school.
