National Lok Adalat held

Under the guidelines of the National Legal Services Authority, Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) organized the second National Lok Adalat for the year 2019 on Saturday at Lamphel Court Complex for Imphal East and Imphal West districts.
Various pending cases before the Courts as well as pre-litigation matters are taken up in the National Lok Adalat for amicable settlement. The National Lok Adalat was also organized at Thoubal, Bishnupur, Ukhrul, Senapati, Churachandpur and Chandel districts by the District Legal Services Authorities concerned, said a statement of the MASLSA.
Justice Kh Nobin Singh, Judge, High Court of Manipur   and G Gaiphulshillu, Member Secretary, MASLSA visited the National Lok Adalat held at Lamphel Court and Thoubal Court Complexes.
In the National Lok Adalat held yesterday for the State of Manipur, 588 cases were settled with total settled amount of Rs 4,59,66,592, said MASLSA.
