24th jumps to 16th

IMPHAL, Jun 29: In a case of history repeating itself, a student who came in the 24th position during this year's HSLC examination conduc-ted by BOSEM, has been found securing the 16th position after his answer papers went for a re-scrutiny.
According to a reliable source, a total of 8 students scored 543 marks each in the recent HSLC examinations thus securing the 24th rank together.
One of the said students was one Lamjingba Yum-nam, a student of St Jo- seph's School, Sangaiprou. He had scored letter marks in Manipuri (MM), English, Maths, Science, Social Science and Higher Maths.
Stating that Lamjingba demanded for a re-scrutiny of his answer papers as he felt unsatisfactory with the marks he got, the source explained that initially Lamjingba had scored external marks of 62 in English, 69 in Science, 70 in Social Science and 72 in Manipur (MM).
However, after the re-scrutiny, he was found to have scored 68 in English and 72 in Social Science, the source informed.
The source then continued that Lamjingba Yum- nam got 8 more marks and jumped to 16th position after the re-scrutiny and as such, there are two students now who secured 16th rank in the HSLC exam.
