Manipur earn four medals at Natl Women Master Athletic C'ship

IMPHAL, Jun 29 : Manipur amassed 4 medals including 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze at the 1st National Women Master Athletic Championship which began today at Goa under the aegis of Master Athletic Federation of India.
Thounaojam Ekasini bagged the gold medal in the 1500 m race for above 70 years category after she finished first with a time of 8 minutes 57.01 seconds.
Chongtham Thambalsana clocked 8:33.48 in the 1,500 m event for above 60 years to finish second and grab the silver medal.
L Inaobi Devi recorded 15.91 m in the javelin throw event for above 65 years to win the other silver medal for the State while W Thaballei finished third to win the bronze medal in the same event with a throw of 14.84 m.
