AMCO prays for peace

IMPHAL, Nov 8: All Manipur Christian Organization (AMCO) conducted a prayer programme under the theme "Peace and peaceful coexistence of the people of Manipur" at  MBC Centre Church, Chingmeirong, today.
The programme was attended by L Timothy Phaomei and several members of AMCO, including its president Rev S Prim Vaiphei, vice president Dr Nipamacha and general secretary Jacob.
At the programme, Rev S Prim Vaiphei said that all communities residing in the State must work collectively for the betterment of Manipur instead of waging war against one another.
Stating that all leaders and responsible citizens must put in their best efforts to overcome the prevailing mistrust and disharmony among the different communities, he urged the Central Government to refrain from using the same tactics that Britishers used once to divide India.
He then prayed for divine intervention to bring peace and harmony and keep the State's integrity intact.
