Alert sit-in protests continue across the State

IMPHAL, Nov 4: Alert sit-in protests were held across various Kabui villages located in and around Imphal today asserting that any impact to the integrity of Manipur as a result of the Naga political solution would not be tolerated.
Supporting the initiative of the Coordinating Committee On Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), womenfolk staged sit-in protest at Kakhulong, Paona Keithel, under the aegis of Kabui Union Manipur.
The protesters held placards which read 'Kabui is Kabui', 'Declare details of Indo-Naga talks', 'Do not disturb the ethnic peace', 'Integrity is love' and 'Long live Manipur' etc.
Similar sit-ins were stag-ed at Keishamthong, Maha- bali, Sangaiprou, Nam-thanlong, Chingmeirong, Keikhu, Namdulong and Ramji Khul (Sagolband) as well.
A sit-in protest was also staged by management and staff of Sangai Bazaar at Hiyangthang Takhellambam Konjin cautioning against any changes to the integrity and administrative setup of Manipur due to the peace talks.
More sit-in protests were staged at Uripok Kombirei Keithel Kabrabam Leikai (under the aegis of DCYS Club, Kombirei Keithel Meira Paibi, Salai Taret Meira Paibi) and Yairipok Yambem community hall under the aegis of Yairipok Yambem Apunba Meira Paibi Lup.
