UNLF celebrates 55th anniversary

IMPHAL, Nov 24: The proscribed UNLF celebrated the 55th anniversary of its foundation day at different places within Manipur and beyond today, conveyed apress release issued by the outfit’s Department of Publicity Director  M Sak-hen.
According to the press release, the foundation day anniversary was celebrated at the party’s central headquarters, external affairs units, district units, branch units, MPA general headquarters, 291 Bn, 293 Bn, tactical headquarters and CSF units.
The foundation day celebration at central headquarters was graced by UNLF Central Committee Chairman Kh Pambei while UNLF general secretary Ph Yaimachou presided the function held at MPA general headquarters.
The main features of the foundation day celebration were offering of floral tributes to founder members of the party and all the martyrs who had laid down their lives in the course of the revolutionary struggle, hoisting of the party’s flag and reading out of the Central Committee’s annual statement, it said. It then conveyed gratitude to all the people who extended physical, moral and monetary assistance towards successful celebration of the 55th foundation day anniversary.
It further conveyed gratitude to all revolutionary groups of Manipur and WESEA who extended warm greetings on the foundation day as well as the media fraternity.
