Bishnupur, Nov 17: Two books namely “The Many That I am” and “Crafting The Word” which are the collection of stories written only by the female writers from Nagaland and Manipur and translated into English was released in a simple function organized by Zubaan Publishers at Imphal Peace Museum, Maibam Lotpa Ching, Nambol today.
The book “The Many That I am” was written by female writers from Nagaland and edited by Anungla Zoe Longkumer while “Crafting The Word” was written by female writers from Manipur and edited by Thingnam Anjulika Samom.
The book releasing function was graced by Director Zubaan Publishers, Padmashree Urvashi Butalia; president Leimarol Khorjeikol (LEIKOL), Ksh Subadani; Senior Programme Officer, Sasakawa Peace Foundation Japan, Yui Nakamura San; writer and former Chairperson, Manipur State Commission for Women, Dr Ch Jamini Devi; eminent scholar and critic, Prof N Tombi; Prof Nahakpam Aruna, Manipuri Department, MU; Principal DM College of Arts, Prof Ch Sheelaramani; Head Department of English and Cultural Studies MU, Dr Irom Gambhir and president Manipur Tourism Forum, Khuraijam Krishnan as dignitaries.
