IMPHAL, Nov 9: Organic produces from Manipur were able to pull a large crowd during Biotech India, an annual National organic fair, held at India Export Mart, Greater Noida.
The fair, which began yesterday and concluded today, had a total of 90 stalls (including foreign stalls).
Farmer-producer companies and entrepreneurs (Meira Foods, Rima Foods, Luwang Agrotech and Naga Spices and Herbs) under Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) sold various organic produces at the fair and drew huge crowds.
Many foreign buyers, exporters and importers also expressed desire to market organic produces from Manipur.
During the closing event of the fair today, a team led by Horticulture and Soil Conservation Commissioner M Harekrishna and Agriculture Commissioner M Joy, came to the Manipuri pavilion and surveyed the stalls, apart from interacting with the buyers as well.
The officials also lauded the people running the Manipuri pavilion.
