Bangla Manipuri Poetry Festival concludes

KAKCHING, Oct 5: Library and Information Centre (LIC) Kakching and Sahitya Thoupang Lup (Sathoulup) Imphal have jointly organised the closing ceremony of 3 day Bangla Manipuri Poetry Festival at the auditorium of the mentioned library, on Oct 3.
At the event, advisor of Sathoulup, Saratchand Thiyam said that the festival was organised with an aim to bridge the gap between Manipuri and Bangla literature.
Later, a poetry recitation competition, participated by over 55 poets from Manipur and Bangla were conducted.
It may be mentioned that the first day of the festival was held at the auditorium of JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal while the second day was conducted at Loktak Folklore Museum, Thanga, Bishnupur.
