SALAI chairman removed

IMPHAL, Oct 30: SALAI Holdings Pvt Ltd Chairman cum Managing Director, Narengbam Samarjit has been removed from his post as the president of North East India Development Party (NEIDP) Central Working Committee and in his stead, the party's vice president and former MLA Sapam Kunjakeshore alias Keba has been appointed as the interim president.
Speaking to media persons at his residence at Tera Bazar today, NEIDP CWC interim president Kunjakeshore said that the statement made by Narengbam Samarjit during a press conference at London has cast a shadow of uncertainty upon the future of the party.
He clarified that whatever Narengbam Samarjit said in London had nothing to do with NEIDP and added that the party has faith in the Indian Constitution.
Whatever personal opinion Samarjit expressed is not acceptable to NEIDP, he claimed.
He continued that what Samarjit said had posed a threat to the trust and beliefs the people had on NEIDP currently and added that the executive members of NEIDP CWC has decided to expel N Samarjit from the party and he has been appointed as the interim president of the party.
He said that the party will work hard to gain the trust and love of the people and informed that from today, N Samarjit has nothing to do with NEIDP anymore.
