Babysana case

IMPHAL, Oct 24: Single Bench of the High Court of Manipur, led by Justice MV Muralidharan, has fixed November 5 for further hearing of the bail applications filed by the Principal of Standard Robarth Hr Secondary School and the school Coordinator.
The Court also allowed the prayer to submit a reply to the application filed by N Tomchou (father of Babysana) seeking the case to be transferred to the CBI.
The order was passed by the Court today morning, after conducting further hearing of the submissions by senior counsels M Gunedhor and N Jotendro for the bail applicants and Public Prosecutor Samarjit.
The Court also heard the argument in connection with the petition filed by N Tomchou against the Union of India and 3 other respondents. During the hearing, it heard the submission of S Abung, counsel of the petitioner and W Darakishwor for the respondents, who sought time to get necessary instructions from the Union of India in connection with the plea to let the CBI probe the case. H Samarjit, Public Prosecutor, took the notice for the State respondents and also sought time to file a reply and as such, the Court posted the matter for further hearing on November 5. Family members of Babysana and a few members of the JAC were allowed to be present inside the Court room during the hearing.
