MSME secy proposes

IMPHAL, Oct 19: Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) secretary Dr Arun Kumar Panda has directed the authority concerned to link up with National Institute of Design (NID) to promote the handicraft products of the state during his visit to the state.
It is reported that Dr Arun Kumar Panda visited a Reed Cluster located at Ningomthong Kitana Panung and inspected the handloom items produced there.
The Reed Cluster was set up under the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries initiated by Ministry of MSME.
On seeing the various items produced by the local artisans, Dr Arun stressed about the need to take assistance from National Institute of Design (NID) to promote the artisans and craftsmen of the State. He also expressed desire for the local artisans to sale their handicraft products through E-commerce portals to sale their products outside Manipur.
