Journalist Fellowship

IMPHAL, Oct 12: The Sangai Express' Staff Reporter Ngasepam Liklai-leima has received RK Maipaksana Journalist Fellowship award 2019.
The fellowship was handed over to the journalist during the 95th birth anniversary celebration of RK Maipaksana at Jawa-harlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy here, yesterday.
At the event, president of RK Maipaksana Memorial Trust, RK Dilip said that the trust started awarding the fellowship to the deserving journalists since 2009, considering the contribution he had made in the profession during his lifetime.
Liklaileima will publish two feature articles every month and will be provided Rs 3000 every month during the one year fellowship by the trust.
As part of the programme, former dean of School of Social Science, Manipur University Prof Ksh Bimola delivered a lecture on the topic "Society and Politics in Manipur 1979-2002".
After releasing a souvenir, the attendees paid floral tribute to the photo of RK Maipaksana.
