IMPHAL, Apr 4 : The centenary celebration of Shree Shree Vishnu Durga Au Shiva Teen Panchayan Mandir located at Kanglatongbi under Sekmai AC in Imphal West district was observed today accompanied by the performance of traditional rituals and prayers.
The 100th anniversary celebration was attended by Brigadier Neeraj Sharma, Deputy IGAR (S); his spouse Priyanka; Ravi Kumar Uprety, president, Mandir Committee; Sekmai Police Station SI Prameshwor M; Meena Bista, chairperson, Kanglatongbi GP and Dr Tanka Nath Khatiwada, Professor (retd), Presidency College as the chief guest, president and guests of honour.
Traditional song and dance performances were showcased as a part of the ceremony.
Additionally, a memorial stone was unveiled on the occasion.
Simple gifts were presented to the members of the Mandir Committee.
It is worth noting that the Mandir was established on April 4, 1925.
