Thangjing devotees' grievances lodged with Governor Bhalla

IMPHAL, Apr 2: Members of Thangjing Seva Mandal, Historical Heritage Development Organisation, and Committee on Protection & Preservation of the Historical Rights of Koubru & Thangjing Hill Ranges (CPPKT), called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Imphal today and apprised him of the difficulties faced by devotees who are unable to visit the sacred Thangjing hills to offer prayers.
The Governor assured them that their concerns will be looked into and duly addressed. Security Advisor, Secretary to Governor, SP Bishnupur also attended the meeting, said the Raj Bhavan in a statement.
Separately, Governor Bhalla chaired the 1st Organising Committee Meeting of Shirui Lily Festival, 2025 at the conference hall of Raj Bhavan.
The meeting discussed various agendas pertaining to the smooth conduct of the festival across all spheres such as transportation, security, crowd management, infrastructure, hospitality, cultural programming, promotional strategies, and coordination among various departments.
Secretary to Governor, Director General of Police, PCCF, Principal Secretary, Commissioners, senior police, military and civil officers attended the meeting.
