661.8 grams of brown sugar seized

IMPHAL, Apr 2 : Security forces seized 661.8 grams of brown sugar from a place between Naranseina and Sunusiphai under Moirang police station today.
In a bulletin, the Police Control Room said that the brown sugar was seized from one Md Faiju Rahman (40) of Karang Mamang Leikai.
The control room continued that five persons were also arrested for indulging in illegal stone quarrying at Lungthar village and they have been identified as Wairokpam Somorjit (28) of Yairipok, Keisham Sumonanda (26) of Yairipok, Haobam Naocha (19) of Yairipok, Md Rami Khan of Shikhong Khunou and Md Abir Khan of Shikhong Khunou.
The police also seized three Tata Hyva Tipper and one JCB.
The control room also said that one carbine, three magazines and 50 pieces of 9mm ammunition were recovered from Khangabok Loukol while two Baofeng handsets and one bulletproof jacket with a plate were recovered from Mollum village, Churachandpur.
One cadre of KCP (PWG) and another cadre of PLA were also arrested from Thongju and Sanjenbam Khullen respectively.
