Lup observes 6th foundation day

IMPHAL, Apr 1 : Leima Chanu Nawa Tengbang Lup observed its 6th foundation day at its office at Singjamei Chingamathak Chongtham Leikai yesterday.
A free medical camp was organised to commemorate the milestone.
The event was attended by Dr S Bhagyabati, founder president, Leima Chanu Nawa Tengbang Lup; Thokchom Renu, president, Leima Chanu Nawa Tengbang Lup; secretary Khangembam Shanti and vice president Binodini as the presidium members.
Highlighting the philanthropic efforts of the Lup since its inception, Th Renu said that Leima Chanu Nawa Tengbang Lup has conducted free health camps at various locations along with the distribution of free medication, provided various forms of assistance to differently abled persons and people displaced by the ongoing conflict living in relief camps.
The Lup also visits schools and as a women's group, it teaches young school girls how to defend themselves, said Th Renu.
