THAU to test FORCE in summit clash of Women's U-23 One Day Trophy

IMPHAL, Apr 17: FORCE Kshetrigao will face THAU Thangmeiband in the summit clash for the title of the 1st MNCA Women's U-23 One Day Trophy 2024-25.
FORCE and THAU entered the final after their semifinal wins against PTCC and SHADOW respectively today.
FORCE beat PTCC Patsoi by 6 wickets, and THAU beat Thangmeiband beat SHADOW Thangmeiband by a massive 136 runs.
AT SEDCO Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak, PTCC won the toss and opted to bat first.
Facing an impressive FORCE's bowling and fielding, PTCC succumbed taking only 96 runs for 10 wickets in 32.5 overs.
Ignited by Barkatun Khanam's massive knock of 68 runs off 68 balls which included 9 fours and 1 six, FORCE had an easy chase and scored 99 runs for 4 wickets in 23.1 overs to win the match.
For PTCC, only Laishram Bigyapati (22 runs off 48 balls), Shrili Irom (16 runs off 49 balls) and Bandana (13 runs off 26 balls) scored 2-digit runs.
FORCE's Farjiya took 3 wickets. Her team-mates, Rahmatun Khanam and Barkatun Khanam dismissed 2 wickets. Wakil Shani and Neha took one wicket each.
At THAU Ground, Thangmeiband, THAU opted to bat first to amass a total of 198 runs for 10 wickets in 33.5 overs.
SHADOW performed poorly and managed to score only 62 runs for 10 wickets in 22.3 overs.
THAU's Robeni Usham (45 runs off 82 balls), Niruta Thoudam (32 runs off 23 balls), Moirangthem Yaiphabi Devi (26 runs off 32 balls) and Seterny Devi Brahmacharimayum (22 runs off 21 balls) displayed fine batting skills.
SHADOW's Kebriya Devi Sapam (4), Sagatpam Henthoibi (3), Victoria (2) and Priyanshree Hanglem (1) took wickets.
In SHADOW's failed chase, only an undefeated Hanglem Malemnganbi (16 runs off 32 balls) scored 2-digit runs. Thoithoibi Ahongsangbam took 4 SHADOW wickets. Kiranbala Chanu Haorungbam took 2 wickets. Niruta Thoudam and Hijam Malemkhombi dismissed one wicket each.
