Koireng-led UNLF condoles

IMPHAL, Mar 29: The Koireng-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA have mourned the death of KYKL/MYL’s Lt Angom Sanatomba alias Ingo of Phayeng Mayai Leikai and PREPAK(Pro)’s Lance Corporal Maibam Naotomba alias Naatngakpa in a battle fought between a combined team of the revolutionary groups of Manipur and a combined force of the Indian Army and its proxy KNF(B) on March 25, 2025 at Manipur-Myanmar border.
With a firm belief that the armed struggle is a principal means of restoring the lost sovereignty of Manipur and keeping full faith in the collective struggle of the revolutionary organisations, the two revolutionary fighters fought till their last breaths, said a press release issued by the Koireng-led UNLF’s Secretary of Publicity M Shak-Hen.
It said that the contributions of the two martyrs to the liberation movement will be remembered forever.
The demise of Lt Sanatomba alias Ingo and L/Cpl Naotonba alias Naatngakpa is a big loss for the people as well as all the revolutionary groups, it said.
The outfit and its armed wing have also conveyed solidarity to KYKL, PREPAK(Pro), the bereaved families, friends and relatives.
It further prayed that the departed souls may rest in eternal peace.
