A gift from God, so rare,
A place of beauty, beyond compare.
A world of wonder, where life abounds,
A paradise of sights and sounds.

From the nine mountain ranges to the Loktak lake,
The 'floating lake', the largest freshwater lake,in South Asia,
Dwells proudly within it,
The world's only floating National Park, the 'Keibul Lamjao National Park'.
The last natural habitat of "Sangai",
The birthplace of Polo, a heritage so great.
From forests green to valleys dry,
Our Manipur is home to ethnic tribes, different hues, so high.

A world of beauty, that we must protect,
For, it is ours, to love and respect.
She provides a home for all,
A place of shelter, where we stand tall.
A world of plenty, where we can thrive,
A gift from heaven, to keep us alive.
So, let us cherish, this world so rare,
And show our love, with utmost care.

She owns every soul, she owns every ethnic tribe,
She nurtures us for centuries together,
expecting nothing in return, beyond her existence and motherly affection.

Amidst her abundant ecosystem, devoured by greed and ego's infection.
We explore and exploit her resources, without a care,
Natural beauties replaced by concrete jungles, everywhere.
Natural flowers replaced by poisonous flowers at the hill slopes,
Wetlands are exploited for a small gain,
Elixir of life polluted beyond hopes.

Nobody heard her cry and lament,
Her voice nobody listens, her warnings everyone ignores and bent.
Chaos after chaos, unending and unbearable,
Are we heading to doomsday, without a care?

Aren't we all ignoring, she's a home for every tribe?
We're all part of her, inseparable, a bond that won't subside.
She's with us from cradle to grave,
Forever our shelter, our eternal breath.

Oh, my brethren, let's unite as one,
Ima Manipur, our Mother, forever under the same sun.
Let's cherish and protect her land,
For all tribes together, hand in hand.
