KANGPOKPI, Jan 20: The Kuki Christian Church (KCC) Manipur Synod concluded its 46th Assembly today at Songlei Mongbung in Saikul Sub-Division, Kangpokpi district.
The event, which began on January 17, brought together 170 leaders from across the Synod under the theme, "Pakai Chu Ka Ponlap Ahi" (The Lord Is My Banner), based on Exodus 17:15. During these trying times, marked by socio-political unrest and challenges faced by the Kuki community, the assembly served as a spiritual anchor. Prayers were fervently offered for the community’s leaders, frontline workers, and all those working tirelessly for the community. The delegates united in heartfelt intercessions, seeking divine guidance and protection for the community.
A highlight of the assembly was the befitting farewell accorded to ten retired pastors who dedicated more than four decades to serving the community. Their unwavering faith and service were celebrated as examples of commitment to the church and society.
Additionally, meritorious students excelling in Sunday school and Synod examinations were honored, recognizing their dedication to learning and spiritual growth.
The assembly concluded with the ordination of four pastors, namely, Letgoulen Khongsai, Lamgoulen Khongsai, Jamkholal Lupho, and Joyful Khongsai. Their commitment to pastoral service signifies hope and spiritual rejuvenation for the Kuki Christian Church and its mission.
