IMA FA beat KKYU in IW 3rd Divn Football League

IMPHAL, Jan 17 : IMA FA Wangoi finished Group A runners up in 6th Sh Mani Sharma Memorial 3rd Division Football League as they beat KKYU, Keishamthong by 2-0 goals in the final league match today at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi.
Having sealed two victories in the last three matches, IMA FA looked confident and sealed a narrow 1-0 first half lead thanks to Lanchenba's 17th minute strike today.
Nelson doubled the advantage for IMA FA after 34 minutes. KKYU, who were unlucky in the first half, kept struggling in the second half as well but they managed to overcome late pressure from their Wangoi rivals and prevented further goals.
With the result, IMA FA finished second in the final Group A table on 9 points behind NBCA, Takyel Khongbal who ended group stage unbeaten with three wins and a draw. KKYU in the meantime finished fifth with two points off two draws.
