IMPHAL, Aug 30 : Sangaiyumpham FC, Sarukh FC, Lucky Boy all emerged victorious in today's matches of the 3rd Paona Memorial 9-A-Side Football Tournament being organised by the EEO Lamding at its ground.
In the 9th match of the tournament and today's first group D match, Sarukh FC fought back from a goal down to beat Endeavour FC 2-1.
Endeavour FC were first to draw blood with Y Suraj finding the target early in the 4th minute but Taj Khan led the comeback for Sarukh FC scoring the equaliser in the 19th minute before Muhadish overturned the lead in the 23rd minute.
Sarukh FC then held onto their lead till the final whistle.
In another Group D match, Lucky Boy, Sangaiyumpham pulled off a 3-0 win over hosts, EEO-A thanks to a double from Riyas.
Riyas scored in the 24th and 35 minutes while Ront scored the second goal in the 29th minute to earn Lucky FC a comfortable win.
Later in the day, Sangaiyumpham FC extended their winning run in the Group B campaign with a slender 1-0 win over LMT, Moreh.
The lone goal that settled the game was scored by Akhan in the 10th minute.
