Kongba resolves

IMPHAL, Jul 24 : The All Kongba Road United Clubs Organisation (AKRUCO) has adopted three resolutions pertaining to the closure of Kongba to Keirao stretch along Imphal Yairipok road.
AKRUCO which is a conglomerate of 26 local clubs and 45 meira paibi lups said that they will withdraw their agitation if the Works Minister assures to begin the road repair work within a week  time by tomorrow.
The resolutions were taken in the presence of Government (Works Department) officials during a meeting held at Kongba Thongkhong today.
The first resolution said that the Works Minister should guarantee that the repair work of the section of Imphal-Yairipok road will commence by tomorrow.
The second resolution said that they will withdraw their agitation if there is a positive response from the Government.
The third resolution said they will intensify their protest  if no assurance comes from the Government by tomorrow.
The closure of the section of Imphal Yairipok road began  on July 19.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister N Biren, had yesterday, said that the repair work of the road from Kongba to Keirao along  Imphal-Yairipok stretch will begin shortly.
He had also said that the Government has allocated money to begin the repair work of the road stretch.
