MOA announces State Road Cycling team

IMPHAL, Nov 4 : The Manipur Olympic Association (MOA) has announced the names of the cyclists selected to represent Manipur at the 29th Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior National Road Cycling Championship due to be held at Puri, Odisha from December 4 to 7.
The cyclists who made it to the State team following the trial selection held on October 27 at Wangjing Kodompokpi ground are as follows.
Elite Men : Athokpam Bike, Laishram Sanjoy, Hijam Harish, Chungkham Luchinglen and Angom Yaiphaba.
Elite Women : Naorem Biseshori Chanu, Yurembam Gitu Devi, Yumnam Thaja and Sarangthem Bidyarani.
U-23 Men : Elangbam Lanchenba, Konthoujam Bishan, Yumlembam Vishal and Naoroibam Anish.
Junior Boys (U-18) : Tayenjam Bipil, Keisham Daya, Thounaojam Gyananta, Konthoujam Lanchenba and Chingangbam Binodchandra.
Junior Girls (U-18) : Konthoujam Benika and Huirongbam Thajamanbi.
Sub-Junior Boys (U-16) : Thokchom Jeis, Laishram Prem, Yumnam Sushil and Ngangkham Dayananda.
Sub-Junior Girls (U-16) : Laishram Sana and Achom Tanibala.
Youth Boys (U-14) : Wahengbam Thoihenba, Yangelm Jinku, Chanambam Poireinganba, Leishangthem Rebishan and Chungkham Hemba (standby).
Youth Girls (U-14) : Usham Sandhya, Thoudam Khristina, Thoudam Abenao and Saikhom Florence.
Gurumayum Dayananda and Thokchom Aimson were also named as team manager and assistant manager respectively while Oinam Basanta was named as team coach alongside technicians- Usham Ashok and Yumnam Meghachandra.
MOA further directed selected cyclists to report to the team officials at Cycle Velodrome, Khuman Lampak at 7 am from November 5 onwards for further coaching.
