SDPO Ch Anandkumar Memorial Veteran Football Tourney begins

IMPHAL, Nov 4 : 1st State Level SDPO Chingtham Anandkumar Memorial 9-A-Side Veteran Football Tourna- ment kicked off today at SICO ground, Lourembam Leikai.
The tournament co-hosted by YDCCML and SICO is featuring 12 teams clubbed into three groups. Two top teams from each group and two best third placed teams will progress into the quarterfinals of the competition.
The opening match of the tournament saw FLAK beat CHAMP Fc by 4-1 goals.
Gandhi (12'), P Dharam (33'), Noren (38') and Gojendro (59') were on target for FLAK as Premkumar scored the consolation goal for CHAMP FC in the 50th minute.
