Meira Paibis protest

IMPHAL, Nov 26 : Aggrieved meira paibis of Keishamthong Irom Pukhri Mapal took out a rally in protest against the arrest of meira paibi leader Th Sushila by police early this morning.
No official reason has been given for the arrest yet.
They wielded placards with messages such as "Release Th Sushila at once" and "Arresting meira paibi is unreasonable" among others.
The rally which started from Keishamthong Irom Pukhri Mapal was intercepted by a police team led by Ng Ratana, Additional SP, Crime Against Women and SDPO N Ingocha at Hodam Leirak as they headed towards Keishampat. Due to police intervention, the protestors turned back without proceeding any further.
Th Sushila is the secretary of Keishamthong Irom Pukhri Mapal Meira Paibi Lup.
