IMPHAL, Oct 31: SSC Porompat beat PTCC Patsoi Part-III by a narrow 9 runs in today's match of the 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25.
At Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang), SSC Porompat won the toss and opted to bat first.
SSC Porompat took 134 runs for 10 wickets in 28.4 overs.
Ruhan Bm scored 29, the most runs of the team from 31 balls.
Sadique scored 21 runs from 44 balls, and Anish Lasker scored 13 runs from 12 balls.
PTCC's Lanngamba Ningombam took 4 wickets. Harishor Mayengbam took 3 wickets. Devas Singh Tongbram and Roneljit Ayekpam took one wicket each.
PTCC's early chase was promising with Polenjit Mayengbam amassing 27 runs from 58 balls and Dhirendakishore Naorem scoring 24 from 25 balls.
Wickets began to fall and the chase ended at 125 for 9 wickets in 30 overs.
