KnK FC Keibul win 4th Ph Irabot Singh Memorial 1st Division Football League

IMPHAL, Oct 31: After an impressive 5-2 win against WPC Wangoo today, KnK Keibul have emerged the winners of the 4th Late Ph Irabot Singh Memorial 1st Division District Football League 2023-24.
The KnK Keibul, with 12 points, never lost a match in the league.
KnK's I Khambaton was given the best player of the tournament award.
Best Goalkeeper of the tournament was awarded to Th Rodick of WPC Wangoo.
UYT Thamnapokpi and WPC Wangoo, both amassed 7 points, but the former have been declared the 2nd runners up on goal difference.
Both UYT Thamnapokpi and WPC Wangoo had 2 Wins, 1 Lost and 1 Draw.
UYT Thamnapokpi (36 GF against 4 GA) were however ahead of WPC Wangoo (33 GF against 7 GA) in terms of goals.
KnK Keibul played four matches and lost none. The team scored a total of 29 goals.
KnK had their first 2-1 win against UYT Thamnapokpi in the league.
The team next dominated KIYDO 19-0.
Before beating WPC Wangoo today, they defeated YSUC Phubala 3-2.
KnK Keibul's Premchand scored a double in their win against WPC Wangoo today.
At the Wangoo Ahallup Playground today, KnK Keibul were behind 1-0 in the early match as WPC Wangoo's Y Dayananda scored a goal merely 3 minutes into the match.
WPC Wangoo's lead, however, didn't last long as  N Abungton fired an equalizer for KnK Keibul in the 11th minute.
Even as WPC Wangoo did their best to lead the score again, the remaining minutes of the first half proved fatal for them with KnK Keibul firing 2 more goals.
K Rohit Singh and O Premchand scored the two goals in the match's 28th minute and 37th minute.
WPC Wangoo gave their best and managed to score their second goal (P Goutam, 69th) in the second half, but two more goals from KnK Keibul eroded their morale and all efforts to recover.
N Bikash and O Premchand scored the 4th and 5th goal for KnK Keibul in the 57th and 70th minute respectively.
The closing ceremony of the league, organised by the District Football Association, Moirang, was attended by Thanga Zilla Parishad Upa Adhyaksha Ningthoujam Dinesh Singh, retired Vice Chancellor of Central Agricultural University and chairman of KnK Foundation Manipur Uttamkumar Ningthoujam.
