United Chandel FC seal Chandel Super Division League title

IMPHAL, Nov 1 : Lael scored twice as United Chandel FC (UCFC) defeated Hnahringkhu YC (HYC) 3-1 to seal the title of the ADC Chandel Super Division Football League 2024 organised by DSA Chandel at Ziontlang Ground.
With today's win, UCFC finished atop the table of the 6-team top tier district tournament on 13 points off 4 wins and a draw while Lambung YCC (LYCC) who salvaged a goalless draw in another match today with Kapaam DC, finished second on 11 points off three wins and a draw. Finishing without a win in this tournament were Hnahringkhu YC.
Confident UCFC had a bright start to the game and were leading by 2 goals at halftime before both the sides added a goal apiece to make the final scoreline read 3-1 in favour of UCFC.
It was Chungam Chothe who struck the opener in the 15th minute before Lael doubled the advantage in the 27th minute.
After the restart, Hnahringkhu YC managed to pull back a goal through W Agustin after 52 minutes but UCFC retained their two goal lead through Lael once again after 65 minutes.
The later period saw UCFC trying to add on to their tally as Hnahringkhu YC struggled to cut the deficit. Despite close calls, the two sides could not make the most of their chances  and the scoreline remained unchanged till the final whistle.
Eventually, UCFC closed out the tournament unbeaten in five games.
