H Premkumar heads to South Korea to attend WoMAU meet

IMPHAL, Oct 8 : Manipur's renowned Thang-Ta teacher and activist Oja Huidrom Premkumar has left India to attend the World Martial Arts Union's (WoMAU) 23rd Annual General Meeting to be held from October 9 to 11 in Chungju-si, South Korea as well as the International Martial Arts Contest to be held from October 10 to 13 at the same venue.
Premkumar, who is also the president of World Thang-Ta Federation, will be officiating as a judge at the International Martial Arts Contest and left India for South Korea from Gwalior following the conclusion of the 30th National Junior Thang-Ta Championship, said Thang-Ta Federation of India in a press release.
The players and officials attending the National championship sent him off warmly while praying that Thang-Ta may get world wide popularity and become an Olympic discipline in the future courtesy of such valuable outings.
