PHAM greets T Priyobarta on making National Jr hockey team

IMPHAL, Oct 7
Posterior Hockey Academy, Manipur (PHAM), Thangmeiband has congratulated Talem Priyobarta on making it to the National squad for the Sultan of Johor Cup beginning on October 19 in Malaysia.
The selection of Talem Priyobarta, son of T Mani and T Bala of Lairikyengbam Awang Leikai, Salan Leirak in the National team for the prestigious tournament is a matter of pride and happiness, said PHAM in a congratulatory note.
PHAM and its coaches, who provided grassroots level coaching to Priyobarta, extended best wishes for his upcoming tournament and prayed he may get selected in the National team for future events and make the State and the country proud, it added.
India will open their campaign against Japan on October 19, followed by matches against Great Britain (October 20), hosts Malaysia (Oct 22), Australia (Oct 23) and New Zealand (Oct 25).
The top two teams will make the final slated for October 26.
