Two held with gold chains

IMPHAL, Oct 21: Two men were held with gold chains at Imphal airport this afternoon.
During routine screening of hand baggages through X-BIS at the airport at around 1.30 pm today, three yellow metal chains suspected to be gold weighing 312.91 gram in total were detected by CISF personnel in the hand baggage of one Lourembam Ramananda Mangang s/o L Shyamkishor Mangang of Iroishemba Lourembam Leikai.
CISF personnel detected three other yellow metal chains suspected to be gold weighing 310.61 gram in total in the hand baggage of Kshetrimayum Gulson Meitei s/o Kh Shyambabu Meitei of Iroishemba Maning Leikai. The two who were supposed to travel from Imphal to Guwahati by an Indigo flight were handed over to Customs Division, Imphal Airport along with the seized articles, sources said.
