Killed in mishap

Thoubal, Oct 13: At least one person died while three others were injured in two road accidents in Thoubal today.
According to reports from Thoubal police, a motorcycle (Royal Enfield Bullet) collided with a Heavy Duty (a moped) at Tentha Lamkhai near Wangjing YK College today at around 9.30 am.
The person who was riding pillion in the Royal Enfield got killed in the accident while the two drivers got injured.
The deceased has been identified as Ningthoujam Surkumar (18), s/o N Shalungjao of Thoubal Kiyam Siphai while the injured have been identified as Kangabam Shisa (17), s/o K Budha of Kiyam Siphai and Chongtham Birachandra (75) of Wangjing Wangkhem.
All three of them were first taken to Thoubal District Hospital first and later shifted to RIMS.
In another incident, a Honda Activa collided with a water tanker vehicle at Thoubal Kshetri Leikai at around 1.30 pm.
The person who was coming in the Activa got injured in the collision and he has been identified as Puyam Bidyashor (21), s/o Puyam Jugindro of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai.
