IMPHAL, Sep 6 : YWC Thambalkhong upset reigning State League champions NISA Thangmeiband 2-1 at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
Though the Thangmei-band side drew first blood in the 18th minute, YWC turned the table within the same half with Vandona Singh and K Ricky slotting two goals within a span of just seven minutes.
In the second match, NEROCA Sangakpham beat SSU Singjamei 3-1.
T Dhiren scored a brace in the first half for NEROCA before Kh Mingthng pulled one back for the Singjamei side in the 84th minute. S Hemant sealed the match with a goal in the 87th minute
